Upset alert: Georgia State still leads Auburn 24-19 with a little over 3 minutes left. Auburn has the ball at its own 2-yard line.

That turned in a hurry.  Auburn marched down the field and scored  with 45 seconds left on a 4th down TD pass featuring a miracle escape by the QB.  Then on GSU's ensuing drive, Auburn got a pick-6 to win 34-24.

Hard to win road games against elite teams with your punter out of action! Good effort, we'll get 'em in 2025.

WEEK 4 RESULTS

Dingo Joe continued his comeback tour with a solid 18-7 to win the week by a 3-game margin.  Full results:

18 Dingo Joe
15 Dereich
14 Illiniwek, NY Express
13 Donerail, ExtremeR, GeorgiaModerate, Terry
7 JGibson

There were 9 unanimous picks -- only four of them correct!

Virginia-Wake Forest (wrong)
TCU-SMU (wrong)
Texas-Texas Tech
Boise State-Utah State
Western Michigan-San Jose State
Clemson-NC State (wrong)
Iowa State-Baylor (wrong)
Michigan-Rutgers
USC-Oregon State (wrong)

There were 8 games with a single dissenter; JGibson was the dissenter in 6 of them. An asterisk means the dissenter was right:

Wisconsin-Notre Dame (*)
Utah-Washington State
Memphis-UTSA (*)
Kentucky-South Carolina
Oklahoma-West Virginia
Tulane-UAB (*)
Washington-Cal
Arizona State-Colorado

Dereich moved into the overall lead; although he hasn't won a week yet, he's been consistently near the top every week.  Year-to-date (100 games):

63 Dereich
62 Donerail
60 Terry
59 GeorgiaModerate, NY Express
58 ExtremeRepublican
47 JGibson
44 Illiniwek
34 Dingo Joe

I really wanted to include UConn Vanderbilt but there are a lot of really good games that are more likely to be competitive Sad Started with 29 and cut down to 25

Houston
Iowa

Georgia
Michigan (Techinically an upset, but at 1 point underdogs, this one's essentially a pick'em)
Tennessee (is this the year, Tennessee does better than six wins? They have already lost to Pittsburgh and Florida, and they will lose to Alabama and Georgia, but they have won or should win every other game on their schedule except for the Ole Miss and Kentucky games, and they could win both if things go right for them) (also, picking a modest upset in Tennessee)
Georgia Tech (The Yellow Jackets have beaten a ranked North Carolina team, and played Clemson, which at the time was a top-ten team well in Clemson. I wouldn't be shocked if they won the ACC Coastal) (also, picking the mild upset in Georgia Tech)
Purdue
Texas
Western Michigan
Cincinnati (The Bearcats get a massive win that they need if they want to have a chance at making the playoff)
Alabama (Once again, as much I would love to pick the upset, I just can't bring myself to pick against the Crimson Tide. Maybe for the Iron Bowl at the end of the season....)
Oregon (The Ducks are on fire right now. Will Mario Cristobal be USC bound?)
Oklahoma (Can't quite bring myself to pick against Oklahoma against any Big Twelve team other than Texas at this point.)
Syracuse (Can't bring myself to pick Florida State)
West Virginia
Tulane
Miami (OH)
Kentucky (My big upset pick of the day, Kentucky has been playing out of their minds right now. While they aren't going to win the SEC East over Georgia without getting very lucky, they could get into the New Year's Six Bowls ahead of Georgia if the Bulldogs are their only loss, and Georgia loses the SEC Championship Game, as they don't play Alabama this year, and their SEC West opponents are LSU and Mississippi State, which might well be winnable. But first they have to get past Florida)
Oklahoma State
Liberty
Clemson
Auburn
Washington
UCLA

As bad as Vanderbilt is, I'd have to pick them over UConn.

Out of curiosity, why is Boston College/Clemson on the board instead of either Thursday Night's Virginia @ Miami (FL) game, or Saturday Evening's Mississippi State @ Texas A&M game?

Either of those games would be more competitive than Boston College @ Clemson.

We never pick Thursday night games in order to give more people time to get picks in.

Like Donerail said, no Thursday Night games for CFB since it gives people time. Also, Boston College gave Clemson a huge run for their money last year and I expect it to be highly competitive, just like Notre Dame and Toledo were. Would not be surprised at all if BC beats Clemson.

NY Express, you only picked 24 games; the missing one is left as an exercise for the reader. Wink

I don't feel comfortable making a pick between Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois anyways. I'll take the loss there rather make a pick.

Do they not have Thursday night games because they don稚 want to play at the same time as an NFL game?
