It is hard to feel worse for a team than I do for Nebraska right now. That program is snakebitten. They were by far the better team in this game with Iowa, but the moment the 4th quarter began the gypsy curse started up, that punt was blocked, and then the whole thing collapsed. The game isn't over yet but I am absolutely confident that it is over for Nebraska.

LSU fans seem to think they have Lincoln Riley stolen away from OU. If they pull this off, it will forever cement my love for them.

That Nebraska team might be the best 3-9 team in the history of college football.  Could have easily been a totally different season in Lincoln.

I always love field storms...but an away team storming the field is absolutely hilarious and perfect for Rivalry Week!

That was probably the least respectable field storm of the year. I don't care how long the losing streak is, beating a 4-8 team by 27 (i.e., with no drama involved at the end whatsoever) is pathetic, and the on-field behavior is unacceptable.

Harvard beating Yale at the Yale Bowl in an actually meaningful rivalry on a ridiculous go-ahead catch on 3rd and long after going 65 yards in 40 seconds was a much better and reasonable Away team storming the field.

After yesterday's games, Illiniwek leads with an impressive 10-1 (missing only Texas-Kansas State).  I'm at 9-2 and three people are 8-3.

First time in a decade. Congratulations, Michigan. I thought they were going to get crushed like always against Ohio State. Unless they choke in the Big Ten Championship, Harbaugh and Michigan will finally make it to the CFP.

F**k, I hate Xichigan but credit where credit is due, Hassan is a baller and just cemented his place in that school's history. He was personally responsible for 35 of their 42 points.

FSU just lost on an onside punt that went about 3 inches. Very sad

The other undefeated team (besides Georgia and Cincinnati), 11-0 UTSA is in deep trouble.  They're down 38-13 to North Texas in the third quarter.

Michigan going to the playoff is a lot more interesting than Ohio State going again, so that's cool.

I don't see any way that teams like Michigan, Oklahoma State, or Cincinnati give Georgia any serious challenge, but ... Georgia is, well, Georgia, so who knows?

Why in the world was North Carolina a top 10 team in the first place?

I don't think they would be one of the top 10 teams in the SEC if that was their conference...

I think I can go ahead and accept my accolades on this one. It ruffled some feathers when first said it here, but I think we'll all agree now that I got it right.

Yes, you did.

It's pretty interesting to look at the preseason AP Top 25 and play "where are they now?"

1. Alabama
2. Oklahoma
3. Clemson
4. Ohio State
5. Georgia
6. Texas A&M
7. Iowa State
8. Cincinnati
9. Notre Dame
10. North Carolina
11. Oregon
12. Wisconsin
13. Florida
14. Miami
15. USC
16. LSU
17. Indiana
18. Iowa
19. Penn State
20. Washington
21. Texas
22. Coastal Carolina
23. Louisiana
24. Utah
25. Arizona State

Nope, you're still wrong! It's impressive, really, your commitment to this bit — "Carolina's overrated" would have been a take you could stand behind and no one could really question it, but "worse than 10 SEC teams" is some real homerism.

LSU, USC, Mizzou and Vandy all turned out to be (fairly predictably) dogsh**t — take your pick on the fifth program, but there's no shortage of options. Maybe Arkansas, maybe Kentucky, maybe Florida.

LOL, Kentucky and Arkansas are indisputably better teams than North Carolina! Are you serious with this sh*t?

Missouri's not indisputably better, but they're probably better. South Carolina about the same, maybe a little worse. Vanderbilt is obviously much worse. LSU and Florida would clearly be favored by a TD or more against North Carolina, but I would be shocked if either of them lost.

I'm not saying North Carolina is terrible, but the idea that they're better than 5 SEC teams is completely unplugged from reality.

lol, pretending this year's LSU team is capable of much of anything — sorry, but have you watched them this year? And I'd bet Carolina is at least 18 points better than Samford

EDIT: UNC is 49th in the Massey composite, ahead of LSU, UF, USC, Mizzou and Vandy. So unless you want to claim every ranking system is similarly "unplugged from reality"...

The Massey composite = "every ranking system" now?

Anyway, if you think a 6-6 ACC team is better than a ranked 8-4 SEC team, that's your prerogative, but don't be surprised when no one agrees with you.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but just for curiosity I checked the Sagarin ratings.  They also have UNC 49th in the nation.  This would be 12th in the SEC, ahead of only South Carolina (64), Missouri (73), and Vanderbilt (143).
