A war veteran Tennesseean who went for the native son and a fellow veteran (didn't trust the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth) in 2000 and 2004, but for conservatives McCain, Romney and Trump in 2008, 2012 and 2016, before voting for Biden because he didn't think Trump was handling the pandemic adequately.
