Italian Indoctrination Act

Be it enacted, by the Council of Lincoln assembled

1. The Lincoln region admits that it has commited horrible abuses against Italian-Atlasians in the region in the past; and apologizes for those human rights violations

2. The Lincoln region shall send checks of 1$ in reparations to any Atlasians of Italian descent

3. All public schools in Lincoln shall offer Italian as a foreign language option

4. In order to spread the Italian culture, as refined in New Jersey throughout the region, the Lincoln government shall comission a new season of Jersey Shore. This will also boost the local economy

5. The 17th of March, Italian unification day, shall be celebrated as a holiday in the state of New Jersey

6. A well cooked Pasta, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Pesto sauce, shall not be infringed.

7. Because of its bad finances, the Region of Lincoln shall start negotiations with the Republic of Italy, for the sale and transfer of the state of New Jersey; or at least a reverse mortgage on it.

Well, the people of Lincoln have long turned their backs on the Italian community. It is time to start a period of regional reckoning with our cruel history of anti-Italian Bigotry

Are you expecting any actual outcome to come from 7.? Because if so, this seems very difficult - Italy is not a playable country in this game, and a state actually leaving Atlasia would require a Regional constitutional amendment, plus either:

a) the whole region seceding, the state leaves the region, and then the region would have to somehow rejoin Atlasia, or
b) a federal constitutional amendment

As the most prominent Italian in Atlasia, I feel compelled to give my thoughts on this bill, even if I reside in the region of Frémont.

I support §1, §2 and §3. I categorically oppose §4, which is an insult to proper Italian culture, and §7, which would be a devastating outcome for both the people of Italy and the people of New Jersey. I propose to expand §5 so that Unification Day is celebrated throughout all Lincoln. I do not care much about §6 as it is the most jocular and symbolic of the sections, but I agree that pasta with pesto sauce is good.

and for #3 would be mandatory foreign language in all Atlasia, in the town where there is a italian community*

Going to introduce the following amendment because I just realized quite a big flaw in the bill as originally written. But no, the commission of a new season of Jersey Shore is of vital regional importance
