Say Bush was popular like Reagan entering 2008, how would the GOP field look like. I think McCain Romney Guiliani still run but I think also in this case other top tier candidates who would run are : Jeb Bush, Condi Rice, Bill Frist all run


I think Jeb wins the nomination as well

Okay it’s a lot but I’ll say it:

I don't think Jeb runs even if his brother was popular, as his reason for not running in 2008 had nothing to do with Dubya's popularity (otherwise he would have run in 2012 IRL, and he didn't run then either).

It's likely that at least one person from Bush's Cabinet (possibly more than one) runs, especially since I don't think Cheney runs either.

The most likely are Colin Powell/Condi Rice, and either one would likely win the Republican nomination.
