They were all hardcore Republicans. Pretty out-and-out racists, hate the government, hate the ‘Gays’, ultra religious except as applies to them. I’d be shocked if any of the main characters were even a moderate, though none seemed very politically involved except maybe Tony.

Dick Cheney for President of the f-ing universe!

He actually says this line in an episode where Johnny Scarimoni (Johnny Sack) is trying to unload a piece of a construction company because the feds are prosecuting him. The company is in New Orleans and making a lot of money on cleanup and government contracts.

To be clear, mafia members do not vote. They avoid government paperwork like the plague.

Most of the crew would strongly support Trump. They are racist and would like a tough talker. Plus he’s pro business and isn’t keen on the FBI.

Personally, I think Tony Soprano wouldn’t give two s****. I think he would find Trump a clown and look down on those who wore MAGA hats. But he wouldn’t care who wins

Camella and Meadow would be hardcore Hillary and Biden votes, despite Camella voting for Bush in 2000

Republican. Remember how enraged the crew were over the anti-Columbus statue protests.

Trump and Tony Soprano are both corrupt mob bosses who hate the FBI. Trump called Michael Cohen a 'rat' for working with the FBI.

Easily for Donald Trump. Most organized crime members are strongly in support of Donald Trump due to his well documented connections to organized crime figures such as Michael Franzese, John Gotti, and Francesco Cali.

Maybe white ethnic organized crime figures. Hard to see Latino ones favouring Trump much less blacks.

Trump nearly won Latino men without a college degree if my memory serves me right from the Pew data.

Hyocritcally?

Their law enforcement worries tend to be FBI. If anything, they like having beat cops on their payroll.

Plus, Tony lives in a McMansion. The type of place that tries to keep certain people out...

Funnily enough, the town where that house is located (North Caldwell) flipped from Trump to Biden.

This fictional character would handle his voting the same as is common by rich people—in favor of the political party he figures would win a given election cycle.

Voted for? No one, as neither he nor anyone in his crew vote.

Supported? Trump hands down. Meadow soprano would have been the only exception.

Everyone in The Sopranos universe who voted would have supported Bill Clinton in 1996. But then a sharp right turn, and ultimately Meadow is probably the only Hillary/Biden voter. Carmela might have been won over by Biden due to Trump's poor pandemic response and Biden's catholicism.

Paulie would love Trump every bit as much as Tony Sirico does in real life!

I'm going to buck the consensus here and say Biden.  Tony would have seen Donald Trump for what he was right away, and not liked what he saw.  Tony had a strain of patriotism, and him being a Mafia boss doesn't mean he'd be okay with an amoral crook with clear dictatorial aspirations being President of the United States.  I think Tony's crew would have largely supported Trump, but Tony himself doesn't seem to have unthinkingly latched onto the same machismo attitudes they held.  IIRC, except for Meadow and Dr. Melfi, he was the least prejudiced person on the show in terms of attitudes toward homosexuality (among those who gave an opinion).  When Melfi asked him his views on the subject, at first he parroted the line of his subculture, saying that he thought it was "disgusting."  But then he admitted that he actually had a basic live and let live attitude about it.  Whereas Paulie Walnuts, for example, said he felt like he'd been "stabbed in the heart" when he learned that one of the crew members was gay.

It's stuff like this that makes me think Tony would have broke with his crew in this area and voted for Biden (although he wouldn't have told them he did so).

To be clear, mafia members do not vote.

Frank Ragano, who served as a lawyer for Santo Trafficante Jr., the Mafia boss of Tampa from 1954 to 1987, said in his book Mob Lawyer that Trafficante voted in every election and supported Nixon in 1960.  He said that Trafficante thought that JFK was a "hypocritical phony" who didn't deserve to be president.  According to Ragano, in Cuba in 1957 Trafficante and his casino partner had set up JFK with three prostitutes.

Mafia culture by its nature is extremely reactionary, which Chase is not at all subtle about showing. Tony himself would probably see Trump as a bull[inks]er but get a kick out of his antics anyway (his crew would probably be friendlier to him). With regards to actual voting, they would be nonvoters (voting is, as said above, government paperwork) but work with whoever is in power, which in the case of North Jersey is the Democrats (Assemblyman Zellman is obviously a Democrat, and so are the unions they work with).

With regards to characters not directly involved in the business, Carmela openly says she voted for Bush in 2004 and is vocally socially conservative, though like Tony I think she would (hypocritically) dislike Trump and would complain about him being rude to Jeb! and Rubio. Meadow is obviously a liberal, while AJ gets vaguely interested in leftish political causes but doesn't actually vote except maybe for Obama in 2008. Melfi, Janice, and Hesh are Democrats. Livia and the Buccos are Republicans.

I would add that I can't think of a television character who seems more likely to belong to the RFK demographic than Janice Soprano.

This is harder to answer than you would think, because AJ is born follower. He struggles in any situation in which he's guided by his own will.

My guess is that AJ either doesn't vote or votes as someone else expects him to, but the show leaves his fate particularly ambiguous, hinting at several possible futures while also making clear that he will be completely adrift without Tony.

There's also that time when AJ says that he aspires to work for Donald Trump. In the absence of a more immediate influence that pushes him in a particular political direction, there's a strong chance that AJ would have been taken in by the man's presentation.
