Itīs the seat held by Jim Nussle and it seems its a likely Dem. pickup this year.

The Constituent Dynamics poll has Braley leading 54%-41%.  IA-1 voted 51%-48% for John Kerry in 2004 so I think we can say this is a Democratic pickup.

Considering this is a Kerry District I am confident to predict it as a Democratic pickup in November, alongside:

AZ-8
CO-7
CT-2
CT-4
IN-2
IN-8
IN-9
NY-24
PA-6

This makes for at least 11 seats, probably more, that would elect a Democrat to Congress if the election were held today.

Sounds about right. IA-1, CO-7, AZ-08 and TX-22 are now Leaning Democrat.
