After the 1996 Broncos season ended in a failure when the 13-3 Broncos lost to the upstart underdog Jacksonville Jaguars, a then 37-years old John Elway decided to come back in 1997 to win the Super Bowl, which they did. The 97 Broncos, led by head coach Mike Shanahan, Elway, tight end Shannon Sharpe, and running back Terrell Davis upset the 97 Packers, then defending Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers led by Brett Favre....

The 1998 Broncos repeated as Super Bowl champs, becoming the first team since the 1992-93 Cowboys to do so. Elway retired in 1999 after winning 2 rings....if he had came back in '99 one more time, would they have three peated?
