It would be funny if he and DeSantis trade jobs. Obviously he wouldn't because he's too petty to take a demotion, but other than that, why not? It would be interesting if more one-term presidents went on to continue to serve in elected office after they fail to get reelected.

Hmmm... this is interesting and rather plausible.  Trump is a perfect cultural fit for Florida and he could easily clear the field/push DeSantis's LG out if he wanted to.

The historical precedents here are interesting.  JQ Adams ran for and held a seat in congress for many years after leaving the WH and Cleveland of course won the presidency back after losing.  I don't think we've ever had a former president go for governor?

On a general note, I'd like to see a former president (not Trump) be vice president. But that will never happen I guess. Although we were somewhat close to that in 1980.
