Quote
An historic heat wave will threaten all-time records in the Northwest this weekend into next week with dangerous triple-digit highs in parts of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and western Canada.

The National Weather Service has already issued excessive heat alerts over much of the Northwest, from Northern California to Idaho ahead of this dangerous heat wave.

These alerts include Seattle-Tacoma, Portland, Salem and Eugene, Oregon; and Spokane, Washington.

Be careful if you live in the Northwest. These are going to be potentially all-time record setting highs in a region where a high percentage of people don’t have air conditioning. I wish everyone the best who lives there.

It’s absolutely insane that the forecast temperature is 6 degrees are all time record high and that record high happened in late July and early august not this early in the summer .

Portland's all time record high, the highest temperature recorded in over 80 years, is 107 degrees.  The high on Sunday is 114.  Very clear that a heat wave of this magnitude is unprecedented in the region.  Climate change?
