If I have a list of 2020 VTDs for districts, is there a way to batch input this into DRA?

Yes there is.

When you log in and are presented a list of your maps, there is an Import Arrow in the upper right. This will enter a dialogue to input a CSV file. It will create a map.

In my case since I had drawn my map using 2020 election precincts (VTDs) this was quite simple.

When you are looking at a map, there is an Export function which will generate a CSV file to show the format. Warning: the export option will not include unassigned precincts, so you will have to draw them in.

This is the first few lines of my imported CSV file.

GEOID20,District
48001000001,39
48001000002,39
48001000003,39
48001000004,39
48001000005,39

48 is the Census ID for Texas, 001 is Anderson County, and the last 6 characters are the precinct ID. All these precincts are assigned to district 39.

One nice feature is that once your map is imported, you can use the analytical tools in DRA, and also identify discontiguous districts. I had about a half-dozen sliver precincts that were assigned to the wrong district.

My map is published on DRA. If you want to look at it, it is the only map by "jimrtex"
