Seems about right but i don't see why WA and OR would go to McGovern, the rural "deep red" Conservative areas where still pretty important and the Cities where not the liberal places they are to day, dominated by conservative suburbs (?)... but apart from that yeah seem about right, but Hawaii and New York could be thrown to McGovern.

How much "steam" does it have? If you are trying to say that, for example, the events of July 1974 are instead occuring in October 1972, there is no way Nixon would win. His approval rating was down to 19% near the end of his Presidency!

Most likely, Nixon would have dropped out of the race if the scandal had come out in full force, and the GOP would have chosen a new nominee.
