Running 1/6 officers as Democratic candidates will be the equivalent of holding a dog bone in front of a rabid pitbull's face. They are going to do what you've forced them to do.

This is like a textbook victim blaming argument.

LPT: Having jfern on ignore is necessary to make browsing the forum tolerable.

But he's not wrong.  Russia Russia Russia 24/7/365 makes people tune out, and they're clearly tuned out with the 01/06 committee.

Who would know that crying wolf would have a side effects, hehe.

It's less crying wolf and more "HAHA IT WASN'T A WOLF IT WAS A COYOTE SO NOW I'M GONNA PRETEND YOUR ENTIRE PREMISE IS FALSE."

Russia did interfere with the US election, and the members of the Trump campaign had contact with Russia and were aware of this.

These are objective facts.

Except for the problem that Trump was guilty in Russiagate, his campaign did have a relationship with the Russian hackers that he was aware of and he did fire Comey to obstruct the investigation. So you are arguing “It’s your fault for investigating something Trump is guilty of for why no is taking seriously something Trump is guilty of”. Do you realize how absurd that is?

Guilty?  I didn't see any convictions, but okay.  Bob Mueller let the air out of every Russian balloon in D.C. and people are done with these nothingburger commissions.

Calling it a nothingburger over and over doesn't make it true.

How about not derailing this thread into a rehash of the Mueller investigation?

Right-wingers know that Trump is responsible for 1/6 but they don't want to admit this so they have to deflect, gaslight, and change the subject.

That tape is probably the end of Kevin McCarthy's hope for the Speakership next January.

Even without, it was always a longshot. I'm predicting Scalise as speaker.

Gonna make a hot take and say they go with the big man himself.

Did anyone not assume this stuff was going on?

Judging by the responses from people like Fuzzy Bear, Grumps, etc they simply don’t care.
I don't care either. I'm just saying that this surprised literally no one.

I feel like maybe you should care that there was a massive conspiracy to overturn the election.

I know you’re not an American and our politics is just a fun little hobby for you…but come on.

Can you believe there are people out there that think that all the transpired on Jan 6th was 200 morons breaking a book shelf and rubbing poop on the walls?
These people need mental assistance.

I don't think Mr. R really believes that's all it was; for one thing, he never acknowledges the documented assaults on police officers, which is something that in other settings I think he'd care very much about.  He repeatedly chooses to focus on lesser aspects of the riot in order to downplay the worst aspects.  And frankly, that's worse.

I guess after more than 2000 cops were injured during the 2020 Antifa riots and it was all dismissed as just an idea and mostly peaceful the additional 100 cops injured on 1/6 sort of get lost in the noise. Especially when we are told this riot is so much more special than the 2020 riots despite having 1/20th of the police injuries.

But again Ive said countless times capitol rioters should go to jail. Yall just dont like that i wont fall for your conspiracies again. My understanding is the idiots started rioting before Drumpf even gave the "incitement" speech.

"Your honor, the fire started before my client even arrived at the orphanage. He merely threw gasoline onto the already burning building!"

I see you have learned nothing during your timeout.

You are a non-American gleefully mocking Americans who are rightfully outraged and concerned over the state of their democracy.

What is the matter with you?

I am quite confident that if the evidence makes it clear without much ambiguity that Trump committed a crime here

Yes.

No.

Unless we get a meeting of someone raising concerns of violence happening at the rally to Trump and he condones that outcome then this won’t change anything

My god, you manifested it into reality...

It seems there are 3 possibilities to what happened

1. It didn't happen and Ornato lied to Hutchinson that it happened... for some reason.

2. It didn't happen. Ornato never lied to Hutchinson about it happening, and Hutchinson is completely making it up... for some reason... and perjuring herself before Congress at the age of 26.

3. It happened. Ornato told Hutchinson about it. And now Ornato and the secret service agents are lying about it not happening to cover up the incident.

All 3 options involve the people involved to act irrationally and against their own self-interest.

Very weird. I'd like to have Ornato and the agents testify to figure out more.

My issue with your argument, GWBFan, is it suggests that if Trump wins in 2024, that the country has no integrity or patriotism.

GWBFan is correct.

If America (legitimately) elects Trump in 2024, I would conclude that America is devoid of integrity and patriotism, because Trump is the antithesis of integrity and patriotism.
