This right there is a signal by Trump to his supporters to start forming a paramilitary force modeled on the SA.  If he lets the original January 6 rioters walk free if he becomes President, political violence will become legitimized.

Members of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, storming of the Capitol are returning to work to plan a new round of televised hearings expected later this month, hoping to recapture the public’s attention after Congress’s August break.

One focus of the hearings is likely to be the concerns among cabinet officials about then-President Donald Trump’s actions during and after the riot by his supporters, including any discussions about possibly using the Constitution’s 25th Amendment to try to remove him from power. Under the amendment, a majority of the cabinet, with the vice president, can temporarily unseat the president if they find him unable to discharge his duties. (...)

The House panel, which has seven Democrats and two Republicans, hasn’t said when the Jan. 6 hearings will restart or how many there will be. The committee is expected to put out an interim report on its investigation soon, with a final report due before the end of the year. How do you know that he is going to DC itself?

The guy who took the video was then driving ahead of the Trump motorcade, and then suddenly it disappeared he said. So the motorcade must have exited the highway. The guy speculates that: "Leyden said he thought that Trump was heading up his golf course. Trump has a golf course in Sterling, Virginia which is north of Dulles."

Trump did have a big suitcase and a smaller one. Maybe it had some papers in it. I mean, Trump may not have known that he would be tracked by this tracker hobbyist.


So the golf course, Walter Read, and the DOJ constitute the speculative trio at present. Come to think of it, the golf course is probably where Trump is spending the night, and was dropping off his things. He did look disheveled.



More speculations. The one I like best is that Trump learned that his golf palace in Sterling was being searched for more documents, so he rushed off the Bedminster golf course to Sterling to stop the steal.

Justice Dept. Issues 40 Subpoenas in a Week, Expanding Its Jan. 6 Inquiry

The Justice Department has issued about 40 subpoenas over the past week seeking information about the actions of former President Donald J. Trump and his associates related to the 2020 election and the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, according to people familiar with the situation.

Two top Trump advisers, Boris Epshteyn and Mike Roman, had their phones seized as evidence, those people said.

The department’s actions represent a substantial escalation of a slow-simmer investigation two months before the midterm elections, coinciding with a separate inquiry into Mr. Trump’s hoarding of sensitive documents at his residence in Florida, Mar-a-Lago.

Among those the department has contacted since Wednesday are people who are close to the former president and have played significant roles in his post-White House life.
