Research 2000:

Leonard Boswell (D-Incumbent): 52%
Jeff Lamberti (R): 41%

In a poll of the 3rd Congressional District race, there were 400 likely voters interviewed by telephone. The margin of error is 5 percent. The telephone survey was conducted Sept. 11 and 12.
