I don't think the South would be too happy giving statehood to the provinces. If it occurs pre-abolition, this would probably lead to an earlier Civil War (like the annexations post Mexican-American War did OTL).

An interesting idea with three major flaws.

1. The only reason the United States did as well in the War of 1812 as it did was that the United Kingdom was severely distracted by the Napoleonic Wars. Even if the United States does better, that's only temporary until those wars end.

2. Canadians were far more anti-Yankee then, as many were Tories from the American Rebellion or their immediate descendants who had plenty of reasons to despise the Yankees from the American Rebellion. The United States conquering Canada would've likely gone about as well as the French Empire conquering Spain and maybe worse if Britain can smuggle in arms.

3. A longer War of 1812 almost certainly guarantees the Hartford Convention leads to a New England secession in 1815.

The main loser in this scenario would be the Native Americans who get chewed up even more than in OTL.
