I was 7, on a cruise, and we just stopped at a beach resort.  I believe it was reserved for tourists, cut off from rest of the country.  It was a nice beach, with lots of shady trees.

8 - Australia, New Caledonia (technically a territory of France but meh), Taiwan (take that CCP!), Myanmar, United Kingdom, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland.

I also past through France and Belgium by train (and visited a French airport), but I wouldn't necessarily count those.

That may've been a reasonable answer if the question was: How many countries have you been to since the pandemic began?

I think the common American pattern is to hit a few on a cruise — a weeklong cruise might run a couple thousand per person, which isn't cheap but also not an outrageous expense. Then you can cross off the Bahamas, Haiti (if you're doing Royal Caribbean), Mexico, the Caymans, Jamaica, etc.

Yes, such high numbers for a US forum is surprising to me. I suppose Atlas is of a certain demographic though.

19-20
US, Mexico, UK (all four constituent countries and Gibraltar), Ireland, Germany, Italy, Vatican City, France, Canada, Israel (and the West Bank, but not an area controlled by the PA), Greece, Spain, Morocco, the Netherlands, Czechia, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Andorra.

So, 20 if you count the non-PA controlled part of the West Bank as Palestine, 19 if you don't. Planning on returning to Ireland (both the Republic and the north) next summer and I want to go to East Asia (probably Japan and/or Korea) soon.
