Is it just me or has the officiating in the knockout rounds of the Euros not been great

I agree with you. The last few games were quite weak: Italy having difficulties in handling Austria was a shock, at least to me, the Czechs brushing the Netherlands to the side and, this evening, Belgium was not that great, to be honest, and they weren't that far from Portugal. Although that Hazard goal was beautiful.

Spain probably deserve to go through, but that was the perfect knockout round match.

Switzerland wins on penalties!!!! Cinderella run???  Mbappe the first player to flinch, after nine(?) straight scores by both teams.

Good to see overrated France go down, and strange to see such a terrible Swiss team go through, but they scored 6 goals in the last 2 matches, so hard to argue they don't deserve it. (they usually just play to 0-0 draws) As long as England doesn't win, I'm happy.

As my second team, delighted to see Switzerland go through, and fully deserved as well. My favourite game of a Euros so far which has wildly exceeded my expectations. I can only begin to imagine how parochial boy is feeling right now!

What a wild game. I can't believe France actually blew a 3-1 lead lol.

France getting eliminated by Switzerland because Mbappé failed his penalty kick is definitely not something I would have expected. parochial boy must be feeling extremely giddy right now indeed lol.

All in all this has been a blessed day for scoring at the Euros - in addition to the 3-3 draw within official time between France and Switzerland, earlier Spain beat Croatia 5-3 at extra time. I wonder if the quarter final between the two winners of today will be equally sparkling.

Thank you, thank you; it is an honor to have officially scored as many goals as Kylian Mbappé over the course of this Eurocup.

And congrats parochial boy!

England should get to the final. We're playing the Ukraine on Saturday which should be an easy win; and then (if we win) Czech Republic or Denmark, which should also be an easy win. In the final we play one of Spain, Switzerland, Belgium or Italy; though I doubt the lattermost. My prediction is that we get to the final and lose, albeit putting up a good performance.

Denmark have played better than England at the Euros so far.

If we can be beaten by Iceland, then I suppose...

Also, does anyone have an idea how France managed to lose on Tuesday? Anything that explained it?
