Quite a few of them in the Midwest and New England actually. I’ve looked at Massachusetts town level data and there’s a lot of places where Bush SR came in third and Perot probably took more votes away from Clinton. I think it’s a pretty common myth that Perot was a spoiler because he took votes away from both candidates.

My mom passed away a few years ago but I believe she may have been one. As a kid I remember her saying she voted Perot in 1992. She always voted Democratic normally and after that. She hated the Bushes specifically W Bush. I’m not 100 percent sure if she voted in 1988 but she wouldn’t have voted Bush I know that.
