It has a very large Native American population, as well as a decent Latino population, yet it’s voted Republican by high single digits or low double digits in recent elections. Do the Navajo/Hopi tend to vote less Democratic than other Native American populations?

A majority of the counties population doesn't live in the reservations to the north and south of the county, and that population is rural, 72% white, and interestingly, very Mormon.

The whites here seem to be very, very Republican, and disproportionately likely to turn out.
