FYI:   my mind was kind of in the gutter when I originally claimed this passage was about lost-love and clapping them cheeks.

This brief narrative does not make sense without the rest of the story to provide context, but as I re-read this, Mr. Olsen is perhaps implying that this Christine womyn was somehow being Machiavellian and showing feminist solidarity with this Caroline.

Damn.  I'm losing my game.   Abstract reading comprehension is usually my jam.
