a single human can not beat a brown bear with a blunt melee weapon.  Make it a good spear* and maybe, if you're good with it.  Otherwise a brown bear is going to destroy you no matter what blunt melee weapon you bring to the fight.  Even a good sword isn't going to be much use if you have no experience with one (and maybe not even if you do).  Brown bears are walking nightmares.

I mean, rats move fast, it'll likely be a stalemate.

Also, it's funny how chimpanzee is on the same level of a King Cobra. I think a lot of people underestimate how goddamn terrifying chimps are. I'd honestly rather face a croc.
