The largest swing in each election by county for each state. I'll do Michigan first, and I'll be taking requests for other states. Eventually hopefully I'll end up hitting all 50 states. Smiley

How do you think Oakland County's going to swing in 2006?  DeVos intentionally picked a running mate from the county because he understands it is the quintessential swing county.

I just realized Swing data is available for Governor's races as well, although we don't have many of those in the Atlas yet to work with. I edited earlier posts to include that which we do have.

Oh, and Senate races, also, although it only works if there was a Senate race 4 years before, and the Swing is from that race, not the last race for that same seat.

Gubernatorial swings are of course from the last Gubernatorial election and Presidential swings from the last Presidential election.

I'm actually married. I know, that's hard to believe.

I actually could do percentages, though it would take some time to go back and do all of them.

If you want to request NC, I can do that next. Smiley

Indeed, considering they are right next to each other. With this being his home state, I'm not sure if Reagan had some particular connection to Mono County, or what the explanation is here.

Correct, and college towns in general were strong for Kerry. It's also interesting that Santorum did well enough there to make it the strongest swing from 2000 to 2004 in the Senate race as well. I'm guessing Klink just didn't have much appeal there.
