Schapelle Corby in final appeal against 20-year sentenceAustralian-woman Schapelle Corby has been sentence to twenty years in an Indonesian prison for importing a bodyboard bag full of marijuana into Bali. The issue was MASSIVE back home, and the court case probably the most covered in Australia since Lindy Chamberlain (the baby+dingo lady).
I never really cared about it to much, and to me this is good news-it'll be over. I hope she gets a reduced sentence, because 20 years is quite a lot without rock-hard proof she did it...although she did kinda have the bag on her person, so realistically that is sufficient proof, especially under the Indonesian (ex-dutch colony) system.
Either way, we're hopefully about two weeks away from the end of the sgaga. The telemovie will come out around 2009, I think.
