With Trump never entering, former congressman and talkshos host Joe Scarborough makes a surprise entry into the presidential race and clinches the nomination with skillful performances on television.

How does that matchup end? Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are still the Democratic ticket, after a bitter contest with Bernie Sanders. Can she win or does Scarborough pull it off?

Boring election. Scarborough brings out few voters who didn’t vote for Romney and doesn’t cause the same WWC shifts Trump did. Election is about the same as 2012 for that reason; maybe his ties to Florida are enough for him to barely win there, but maybe he barely loses NC. Regardless, I think he loses by about as much as Romney did.
