✓ President George W. Bush (R-TX)/Vice President Dick Cheney (R-WY): 305 EV. (49.76%)
State Senator Barack Obama (D-IL)/Senator Joe Biden (D-DE): 233 EV. (49.11%)

Barack Obama running for President in 2004 is about as realistic as Stacey Abrams running for President in 2020.

George W. Bush/Dick Cheney (R) 55% 392 EV
Barack Obama/Joe Biden 44% 146 EV

Biden being on the ticket saves Delaware and probably keeps Pennsylvania within a few thousand votes as well.

Interestingly, in this TL, Biden is probably the Democratic nominee in 2008, not Hillary (and certainly not Obama.)

That first point is true.

With just 7 years of political experience, Obama would lose by a bigger margin than Kerry did.
