Ouch!

Link to TV interviews.  (You Tube)

Apparently she admits to experimenting in the 60's, but the investigative reporter seems to think it goes further than that... a federal inquiry into meth labs.

If you watch the second interview you'll realize that McCaskill was the victim of an overzealous prosecuter's political vendetta.

This will blow over. This is not a "macaca" or a crooked Corker land deal.

Its still negative press.  I dont see how it can be spun as positive for McCaskill, unless of course, you think it will backfire as a witchunt?

Everyone did drugs in the 70's. I admire people who are honest about it (like Lincoln Chafee admitting his cocaine use during his first Senate campaign).

This is a real hit piece that KQTV did on McCaskill.

Did Tennessee and Arizona just leapfrog Missouri in the Senate Race rankings? If you all remember, over a year ago the DSCC declared McCaskill and Casey to be their two big recruits. Today, Jim Webb is in striking distance and Harold Ford, Jr is on his way to the upset of '06.

Yeah and in other news, Mike McGavick is now the frontrunner in the Washington Senate race.   Roll Eyes

Yeah and in other news, Mike McGavick is now the frontrunner in the Washington Senate race.   Roll Eyes

Mike McGavick is a conservative GOPer running in a potentially Democratic wave year, he's member of the unpopular President's party and he's worked with the status quo of Republicans who've undermined Washington's environment and economy.  Maria Cantwell is an attractive, moderate Democrat with a healthy financial warchest who is popular among suburbanites.  Zero Republican Senators lost in 1994 and it is likely no Democratic Senators will lose in 2006. All Cantwell has to do is say "Bush-McGavick team" and its over. I think McGavick's a great candidate and if this race had been in 2004 he would have won, but it's in 2006. Poor McGavick and Jeff Lamberti, two all-star GOP recruits who just had terrible timing. A lot like Dave McCurdy, the  former next President of the United States who lost against odious politician James Inhofe.

Harold Ford is what I love about politics. He’s an idealistic leader with unflinching principles. Ford can win because of Bredesen's coattails, Corker's ethics problems, Corker's tax and spend liberalism, Corker's flip-flopping and Corker's pathological lying. Ford is a charismatic Congressman who truly fits the bill of being part of a "new generation of leaders." Ford will outspend Corker, he will outwork, outbubba his opponent and he can and will beat him in Middle Tennessee.  Remember, Ford actually ran against San Francisco liberal elitist nutcase Nancy Pelosi. Stu Rothenberg has said Ford is running a "flawless campaign," despite his personal and party baggage, I believe he has an excellent shot at an upset.

And he'll still lose by more than McGavick.

So what? A lot of people did drugs back then. Nobody knew they had permenant effects back then.

I highly doubt this will affect anything.
