Senator Jacob Javits R-NY introduced a Medicare for all bill in 1970, so I don't know what she's talking about.

3: Sanders gets hailed as a revolutionary policy genius pushing the party to the left

People acting like single oayer is revolutionary haven't paid much attention to other first world countries. The UK has a national healthcare system.

This woman tried to pass some version of Universal Healthcare in the 90's and for this great sin she's been the enemy of the rightwing ever since, who even convinced a great deal of Democrats to hate her. It's pretty amazing. And in her failure to do this she was instrumental in passing the most affordable healthcare for children we have because the GOP freaked out and said let's at least agree to this.

This is the sanest take in the thread. Putting the ****posting and hypocrisy-baiting aside, Hillary has been a trailblazer in healthcare reform and it's a damn shame that the GOP held her back.

This was back when Nancy Pelosi was demanding a vote on single payer. Things change.
