Always a shame to see a supposed elder statesman and key figure in the party spreading and platforming disunity at a time like this. Absolutely disqualifying! Why won't Democrats condemn? /s

Any politician using an emoji in an official statement is extremely cringe.

Poor Hillary. I wonder how many days a week she wakes up in a cold sweat after Sanders visits her in her nightmares.

TIL Tweets from retired politicians are “official statements.”

Anyway, this doesn’t read to me like a shot at Sanders so much as a reminder of the fact that she was the face of the fight for universal healthcare long before he was. It was pretty absurd how people refused to acknowledge that, even as they blamed her for the less progressive policies of the Clinton years. Hillary never could win; back in the day she was painted as some kind of radical leftist (her husband largely avoided this characterization despite being the one with actual power), but by the time she finally was nominated for president, her primary opponent (who has accomplished nothing in decades) had managed to smear her as basically no different from a Republican.

A thread about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, what could go wrong?

Senator Jacob Javits R-NY introduced a Medicare for all bill in 1970, so I don't know what she's talking about.

Yes. Hillary is a public figure, that is her official Twitter page, and she is disseminating her statement to the general public.

But I know you'd never forfeit an opportunity to defend a Clinton the second someone makes even the slightest criticism.

Javits was not a real Republican lol, he was only a Republican because he hated the New York Democratic Party.

So to be clear, the order of events here is:

1: Hillary proposes a policy in 1993
2: Sanders proposes that same policy 28 years later
3: Sanders gets hailed as a revolutionary policy genius pushing the party to the left
4: Someone points out that Hillary deserves some credit since this was her idea
5: Private citizen Hillary Clinton likes the tweet
6: Socialist Twitter has a huge dramatic freak out, led by Briahna Joy Gray, SocialistMMA and Ryan Knight claiming KHive is working with Hillary Clinton to put them on a "hit list"
7: sawx brings stupid Rose Twitter drama to Atlas as he always does

very clear to me that Hillary is the villain in all this

It's funny that Hillary can't even tweet a f---ing emoji without everyone freaking out and spending the entire day reposting their favorite quotes from the Hillary page in the Burn Book though.  Hillary should just tweet out a different emoji every day for a year and at the end of it, make a Buzzfeed article ranking all 365 emojis by how many death threats they engendered.

The Filibuster could have been nuked in 1994, 2009 and 2013 and Healthcare reform would have passed in 1994

BUT WHOM CAN WE THANK FOR NOT NUKING FILIBUSTER, JOE BIDEN WHO REFUSED TO LET HARRIS OVERTURN PARLIAMENTARY ON MINIMUM WAGE AND HE WAS VEEP TO OBAMA AND HE WAS CHAIRMAN OF JUDICIAL COMMITTEE IN 1994 WHEN DEMS COULD HAVE NUKED THE FILIBUSTER THEN

Mantis, Clinton own Biographer said since the threshold was lowered from.66 to 60 Senators, Clinton and D's can nuked the Filibuster and urged Bill To fight harder for Hillarycare

The Dems could have nuked the filibuster in 1934.  Joseph Robinson has a lot to answer for!

I was pointing out that don't get your hopes up for 13 judges, the most D's will get is 11 and DC Statehood, amnesty and LATINOS and Asians and Entitlements are too big a problem right now for PR Statehood, they are already a Commonwealth

6/5 Conservative Crt will be perfect as Roberts will be the middle man again.

Biden Commission doesn't want to Crt pack but that will be the compromise

idk why you guys act like I'm triggered in these posts where I'm just mocking y'all for being so dumb.

Sanders brought a small army of drooling morons to the limelight and made them relevant, and they regularly behave like drooling morons, today being one example.  All you can really do is laugh at them.  It's just sad that there are so many people in the world who aren't in the drooling moron crew but also fail to see Sanders' movement for what it is.

It was more light hearted teasing about the fact you have an unhealthy hatred for Bernie to the point of absurdity lol

#7 is a completely fair criticism. Although I very much oppose the three figures mentioned, I'm not above posting dumb Twitter drama onto here.

Although I near-exclusively do it to make the anti-Bernie crowd on here look like hypocrites. Which works every time.

I'm glad I wasn't here for the primary in 2016.

Then again that was when I was on r/politics, which was probably worse.
