[Mad Deadly Worldwide Communist Gangster Computer God]

Freedom band, and one of the first bands that I was really exposed to in my formative years. If you grew up in the aughts, you'd be familiar with at least one of their songs, because they created a lot of theme songs for kids TV shows.

Not normally my type of band, but they definitely stand out from other Indie artists. The Else was their best album in my opinion.

It's been a while since I've listened to this band, but I remember enjoying them when I was a kid. I know a lot of people who are fans who think very highly of them.

Oh, the band?  They're pretty good.  I've always liked their version of "Istanbul".

Agreed, but while they deserve props for reviving that song, it wasn't that different from the Four Lads original version and Animaniacs did a much better video. "Particle Man" is the song of theirs I like best.

Had a girlfriend for a few years who was big into them. Heard their songs a lot and got dragged to ine of ther concerts. Just awful.

Between this and Tippe Canoe and Tyler Too, they've done some fun stuff with 19th century US politics. I was actually introduced to the band that way, through the WaPo Presidential podcast.
