Lieberman led a moralistic crusade against that show in 2000, demanding MTV cancel it. This was stupidly while he was VP nominee, likely turning off many voters.

Of course I don't, since that show ing ruled and was hilarious. Hopefully the upcoming second movie pisses Lieberman off too. So Option 4.

The show was fairly dumb, but not as dumb as Lieberman`s attempts to drive down turnout.

I was not a  fan of the show (the movie was good though), but I was even less of a fan of Lieberman's stupid little jihad against it.

Come on Joe, this is why Democrats hate you - don't you think the country faces more pressing prblems then a few morons giving themselves paper cuts and putting snakes down their underwear??? Is this what the republicans are talking about when they speak of your record of bipartisanship in Congress? The fact that you go after shows that the Christian right and a bunch of suburban house moms don't like? Episodes like this must be why people started referring to you as "Holy Joe".

It dosen't matter how I feel about the show, what matters is free speech and censorship. If you don't a like a particular program then change the F****** channel. For you parents - block out MTV. It's called the V-chip. Welcome to 2006. It's that simple. The program though I personally don't care for it, had every right to be on the air.

It's a toss-up on whether the show or the attempts to cancel it were stupider.

No one should even be debating whether or not the show was good. That's irrelevant to the point. The point is that the show, whatever your feelings about it, had every right to go on, and it just shows how on yet another issue how far to right of the majority of Americans that Joe Lieberman is. This is the kind of thing I would expect to hear about from someone like Rick Santorum or Jeff Sessions, not a Northeastern Democrat.

The campaign was as pathetic as Lieberman himself.

Well, of course.  But occasionally he sounds reasonable (once in a blue moon) and we need material like this to send us back to a proper view.

Lieberman has been a big proponent of censorship, another reason why I could never support him.

Jackass is some of the most ridiculous trash I've ever seen....of course I simply don't watch it rather than trying to get it off the air, so I'm No (undecided).

um, no, I'm definitely not supporting for a Republican ever unless there's no Democrat or the Democrat is utterly detestable and the Republican isn't (coughnewjerseycough).  Despite not liking Lamont, I don't like Lieberman's sidestepping the primary either, so I'm not sure about this race.

As much as I think the show Jackass sucks (totally unfunny and moronic to me), I think Lieberman sucks even more as a human being for trying to control what people watch in their spare time.

Maybe, like, once. Not very hard though.
Deano is right of course, the question of the show's quality is entirely irrelevant.
