Not surprising, but unfortunate given the district.

Eidsness could drain off enough moderates and Republican-leaning voters to let Paccione win but to be honest I think Paccione should be ahead already if she were to have hope of winning.  In several competetive races held by the GOP, Democratic candidates are already leading; i.e., IN-2, KY-4, NC-11.  The fact that Paccione is not as well as the Republican tilt of the CO-4 leads me to think Musgrave could well scrape by again.

I sincerely doubt the RP candidate gets 8%, but this CD's been on my list as Lean R for quite a while now.

Still is.  Tongue

I remain amazed that Musgrave can't lock this district up.  I believe it elected Wayne Allard to the House and Bob Schaffer as well.

Good Lord, I'd love to see this district switch.  Marilyn Musgrave is a crazy bitch who should be booted out of the House.  Paccione must be quite a moderate to have narrowed Musgrave's lead in such a district.

Nah, the real reason is that Musgrave is just too crazy, even for this district.

This district would be safe GOP if it were represented by a sane Republican.
