Based on the series "For All Mankind" which depicts Ted Kennedy winning in this scenario how do you realistically think this election would go?

Here's my best case scenario for an election in which Ted is able to successfully peel back a few southern states while also uniting his brother's coalition from 68 with Eugene McCarthy's. My rationale for Oregon but not Washington was because of Scoop Jackson being hostile to his candidacy.

President Richard Nixon (R-CA) / Vice President Spiro Agnew (R-MD) ✓
Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) / Fmr. Governor Terry Sanford (D-FL)

A more standard loss for a failed attempt at resurrecting New Dealerism.
