Not a great look for the CPC to make the Chair of the CBC wait in the corner and ignore her like this. imho. Either let her in or don't but don't do this.

So just recap today, BIF and BBB were scheduled to move through the House, 5 traitors decided to kill BBB (oh sorry, put it off for a few more weeks while they come up with new demands) and then leadership decided to throw up their hands and say what are you gonna do, let’s just pass their bill.

And somehow the 20 or so congressmen that aren’t complete idiots are the problem?

"Their bill" that they themselves were willing to sink just to make BBB fail too!

Pelosi needs to stop chicken out.

Put all the progressives regressives on record for voting against the infrastructure bill.

Yes, because that's what everyone in this thread cares most about right now.

Considering the BBB would get an actual CBO score once an altered version moves through the Senate, holding up the process for that is ridiculous and arbitrary. Pelosi and Biden ought to be pressuring the six party conservatives right now. They're the issue here.

This is f**king exhausting.

Either pass both bills or pass neither, those are the two acceptable options. But for f**k's sake let this charade end.

I mean, I really don't think that would be acceptable by Democrats at all. This is something they've spent the last eight months debating, and it would be a pretty big setback for the American people and the Biden administration, because they're both good bills.

Now you can only compare Pelosi's leadership with McConnell's leadership. This is very hard to imagine similar situation in Republican House or Senate conference

Denny Hastert was very good at holding votes open until enough people were bribed and threatened. And also he was good at molesting children.

Apparently Biden begged the CPC to vote for BIF and had the blue dogs make specific assurances.

What possible assurances could they have made they won’t go back on?
Has no one here met Gottheimer, Murphy, and co? They’ve been moving goalposts since August, but this time, once they have everything they want and there is no way to hold them accountable, they can be trusted for sure.

Looks like BIF might be voted on today. Let's see if moderates keep their word or end up betraying not only the CPC, but the party, the president, and the American people.

Question of consideration is winning 215-212 now, so they are free to close this up and hopefully do soon.

If this is reflective of attendance, Pelosi can only lose 1 vote - so hopefully it isn't.

I can’t for the life of me wonder why AOC’s mom decided it was a good idea to smoke while she was in the womb

Already told Schrader last Weekend that I would vote against him when I move into CD-06 next election post-redistricting if he continued to oppose President Biden's agenda....

Hopefully grassroots pressure can keep him honest.
