Keep in mind M dicare doesn't pay 100%it pays 70%, of you are on Medicare you have to pay a fee for Prescription drugs like  up to 5.00

If Dental is covered it will pay up to 70% off of false teeth

If you are a Senior or on Disability, you are able to get Dual Coverage up to 1480 a mnth without this bill

Medicaid pays for all Doctor and Dental visits, but won't pay for False teeth or Frames of Contacts over 100

Medicaid pays your Medicate Premiums up to 1480 in Cali where cost of living is much more

Medicare doesnt pay for Nursing Homes, even if you are over income, if you go to a Nursing home you have to apply for Medicaid

To answer your question, Medicare paying for false teeth up to 70% and on frames and contacts up to 100 if your on Disability it applies to you

But, Medicare A and B DOESNT PAY 100% IT PAYS 70% so if you need a partial or Denture and it's 1400 you still will pay 30% and you have to pay out of pocket on frames and contacts costing 200+

So I don't expect the budget bill to get any GOP votes, but what's the over/under for infrastructure? And which Republicans are most likely to vote in favor of it? Bear in mind that 19 Republican Senators voted in favor of it, which is actually pretty amazing.

I'm expecting a handful of Republican votes from the usual suspects--Fitzpatrick, Katko, maybe Smith and Van Drew and Young--but no more than that. The House is still just a much more structurally partisan and oppositional chamber than the Senate, despite everything.

It’s nice that they are finally pointing that gun at the GOP entryists instead of, eg, Cuellar’s primary challenger.

One way to get around this is to pass an Infrastructure bill that has a small change, like the controversial bitcoin stuff. That then can't become law right away since it has to go back to the Senate, and these guys lose their leverage.

Good for Bill Clinton and really shows how united the Dems are, except for a few recalcitrant fools, on the need to pass the budget and infrastructure bill simultaneously:

She's clearly trying to be the 'next McCain'. Whether or not she'll succeed is another story, given the polarized times we live in.

now, after taking the cloak of neutrality off, what a ing dipsh**t

From same Politico article.
Quote
On Sunday Speaker Nancy Pelosi said her members were still pursuing a bill that costs $3.5 trillion, but are hoping to finance it in part with tax enforcement and tax increases on the wealthy and corporations. Meanwhile, moderates in Pelosi's caucus are declining to back the Senate-passed budget unless Pelosi puts Sinema’s Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure bill up for a vote on the House floor.

In statement shortly after Sinema's, Manchin leaned on Pelosi and House leaders to act now on the $550 billion bipartisan infrastructure bill instead of waiting for the Senate to pass a massive spending bill.

"It would send a terrible message to the American people if this bipartisan bill is held hostage. I urge my colleagues in the House to move swiftly to get this once in a generation legislation to the President’s desk for his signature," Manchin said.

He's right. They're right.

They've got a year and a half to pass that and will have a lot of Republican votes to help if the budget falls apart. There's no real harm in Pelosi's approach. They just don't want to have to vote yes on the budget bill.

Moderates bring House to standstill in Biden budget clash
Quote
Pelosi’s leadership sought to sidestep the issue by persuading lawmakers to take a procedural vote to simply start the process and save the policy fight for the months ahead, when they will be crafting and debating details within the full $3.5 trillion budget proposal.

One by one, powerful committee chairmen urged their colleagues to move forward.

“There’s a long way to go on legislative issues that are going to play out over the next month. But for the moment the argument here is about: Shall the House proceed,” said Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.

But it soon became clear that moderates were not on board and as soon as one meeting broke, a series of other private sessions were convened with them for further discussion, including in Pelosi’s office. At one point, bags of takeout food were delivered nearby. What had been a night of scheduled votes came to an unexpected standstill.

Challenging their party’s most powerful leaders, nine moderate Democrats signed onto a letter late last week raising their objections to pushing ahead with Biden’s broader infrastructure proposal without first considering the smaller public works plan that has already passed the Senate. Other moderates raised similar concerns in recent days.

“I’m bewildered by my party’s misguided strategy to make passage of the popular, already-written, bipartisan infrastructure bill contingent upon passage of the contentious, yet-to-be-written, partisan reconciliation bill,” wrote Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., a leader of the centrist Blue Dog caucus, in the Orlando Sentinel. “It’s bad policy and, yes, bad politics.”

In the narrowly divided House, every vote matters and a few dissenters could conceivably end the Democratic majority’s hopes for passing any proposal.

Unfortunately, they likely cave soon.

Schumer needs to apply more pressure; 3.5 trillion is already a compromise as it should be 4 or 5 trillion. There's just too much to be done because the govt - and more specifically the GOP - have refused to do necessary investments in the last 10+ years. Instead they have wasted billions in endless wars and made massive tax gifts to millionaires and billionaires.

Sinema should 100% be primaried. She's horrible. For Manchin, there's at least some justification as he's from a very red state. Not the case in AZ; Mark Kelly also supports the package and is already up next year.

It is a foolish strategy to count on Republican votes when House minority leader Kevin McCarthy has yet to come out in support the bipartisan bill

The reality is Kevin McCarthy will most likely start actively whipping votes against this bill the second it comes up for a vote and most house republicans will fall in line behind him since they fear trump more than the senate does

putting this bill up for a vote and hoping that Kevin McCarthy and house Republicans are going to come to the rescue is neither the right move when it comes to actually getting the bipartisan bill passed nor is it even a smart move politically

Appears a deal is reached. House will shortly vote on a resolution that deems the budget passed (of course we still need the actual reconciliation bill, check back next month) and also requires the House to consider the bipartisan bill no later than September 27th (it is a binding/automatic vote at that time) regardless of the status of reconciliation.

It's going to be close but it should pass.

What they are about to pass specifically requires bipartisan vote to be Sept. 27 or earlier - i.e. vote starts automatically on Sept. 27.

Reconciliation may happen before or after.

Reconciliation won’t be done by 10/1.  That means Sinema and Manchin (DINOs - Koch Caucus) are going to go to work on the reconciliation bill like vultures on a fresh corpse.  Don’t be fooled by Pelosi’s spin, we just lost our leverage.  This is a Waterloo-level disaster.

Reconciliation is supposed to be ready for the floor by 9/15 according to timelines that have been laid out.

The process isn’t an overnight thing.  They’re not gonna be done in time and the Koch Caucus had every reason to delay things past the end of September.
