What if only the original 13 colonies could vote in elections? What crazy timeline would we live in?

Well for the 2020 election, this would be it. 78 EVs needed to win:



2016:



Looks like the last time a Republican would have won would be 1988 (83 EVs needed to win):



Last candidate to win all 13 was Reagan in 1984. Last Democrat to do it was FDR in 1944.

I won’t even get into how this would change US history or how different territory now in other states used to belong to the colonies, etc.

Would this scenario also include earlier western claims from the 1780s like Kentucky within Virginia, Tennessee within North Carolina, Connecticut claiming part of the southern shore of Lake Erie, and so on? Would the Virginias be re-merged (in which case the resultant state would be Trump '16 and Biden '20), or Maine reabsorbed by Massachusetts?

For the United States to look like that in the first place would require the Hamiltonians and their vision of an American mercantile empire to dominate from the start. The primary division would likely still be North vs. South in some form.
