A Republican who voted against Poppy for breaking his tax promise and going for Gore in a protest vote against Dubya for the October surprise story about drunk driving. Maybe the person lost a relative in a car crash with alcohol involved. Went back in 2004 in support of the Iraq war.

Conservative from TN. Voted for Perot over Bush in 1992 because of the "Read my Lips" controversy, but returned back to the GOP fold in 1996 to support Dole. In 2000, voted Democratic because of the 'native son' effect of Al Gore, but went back to the GOP tent in 2004.
