I mean, I'm always open to the idea of someone reforming and renouncing hateful views. It's better to accept than to isolate, but I do think it requires a lot of evidence that you've actually reformed. Youtube is a cesspool for lonely people to become radicalized, so yeah I definitely think we need more context for these kids who are getting in deep with that bullsh*t. I was almost radicalized because I fell down the conspiracy theorist/Alex Jones rabbit hole and I was pulled out because I lived in a diverse area where I was exposed to different people, which I think is another factor in helping to deradicalize people...it's not foolproof, but I think getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing other cultures and other points of view is critical for your political development.
