It'll be Alito's seat when he retires in the 1st year of the next Republican presidency, which could arguably be as soon as Jun. 2025 or as late as Jun. 2037 (the latter admittedly only if he even makes it that far). Voted 2033-2037 out of a suspicion that Biden/Harris are likely the new Reagan/Bush in terms of, well, terms.
And for the umpteenth time, Thomas won't retire. He has publicly said time & time again that his appointment is a "death sentence" & that he's staying on the bench for the duration of his lifetime appointment - that is, that he'll die on the bench, ideology of the President at the time be damned.
