Should Israeli's get a European visa

I discussed this with some people, but they stated no as they think Israel is not part of Europe.

I believe this is true but:
1. Israel is not part of the European Union is a better answer here, but I believe an exception can be made as I see Israel as the only nation aligned with western powers in that region. BUT....

As long Israel is at conflict with some nations, violates human rights and occupies unlawful territory, it's clear we should not offer visa's to Israeli's, because that wouldn't make sense and send a strong message as well, urging them to make peace.

As long that doesn't happen, and god knows how long that conflict will last, i would always support veto'ing it, even if it last thousands of years, i'm not going to change my mind.

I'm not sure actually (Schengen visa i suppose). The friend of me brought up the conversation because he met Israeli's in the past who complained they don't have European visa's, that's what he told me, but I don't know exactly what kind of visa he means. That friend is a veteran (or ex-military that got wounded and disabled at young age).

Well it’s not about deserving anything, it’s about if it’s best economically and diplomatically.

Anyway I voted no, because from an Israeli perspective it seems like it would be a net-negative. Easier access to visas for a high-skilled workforce in a very volatile country could muster up a brain drain if living standards plummet.
