Polls close at 8 PM. Eastern Time and I'm sure Chris Matthews will be babbling about the results on MSNBC for much of the night. Small towns should start coming in first, then big cities a few hours later. Before the end of the night we should know who won unless it is really, really close.

Me too, Lieberman is milking the fact that his "strong on security" ass couldn't secure a webserver for all its worth. If someone other than Lieberman took down the site, they should have realized that this would really help Lieberman.

I'm sorry but does anyone really care about that? Anyone who votes either way based on that needs their head checked out.

So you don't care how secure you are? You support Lamont so I guess you don't, if he had his way Iraq would be destroyed by terrorists and the US would be in more danger than it is now.

Instead of bothering to rip apart this absurd comment, I will simply point out that I was referring to people coming out and voting for or against Liberman based on the fact that his website is down.

The "ripping apart" would be saying I'm wrong and how you're right. Not much that can come out of that.

I have a question.  I do know that the filing deadline for running as an independent is this Wednesday; the day after the primary.  Has Lieberman already got the ~7500 signatures he needs?

Yes. He collected them in less than a week. I hear he has over 25,000 to submit if needed.

My my my, interesting show of support for Lieberman amongst the center. Tongue

Never was any good at working this out; that's about 2am U.K time? Or 3am?
Might actually stay up for a bit if it's the first.

LOL at Lieberman not knowing how to put his website back up.  He ought to have a chat with Ted Stevens.

Lamont            53%
Lieberman       47%

Another nail in the coffin of Democratic moderation.

Lamont has enough money to buy the nomination and the election, although he really won't have to worry about the November election, as it's in the bag for him once he defeats Lieberman in the primary.

Lieberman should forget about any independent challenge for November, as you can be sure Democrats will vote for the party nominee overwhelmingly.

Besides, 18 years is plenty long enough for any Senator, Republican, Democrat, conservative, moderate, liberal.

From the "take it for what it's worth" pile

http://mydd.com/

reports low turnout in cities allegedly favoring Lamont.

Polls close at eight I think, so shortly after that.  We'll probably know who won by midnight.

I thought the cities were favoring Lieberman and the small town were favoring Lamont.

Is there a website that shows real-time results of this primary as they come in, and can anyone provide a link to it?

Many thanks....

Clearly, they are the only ones who understand that Karl Rove and the Republican machine intend to use Diebold to steal yet another election from the progressives.

That's what I've been wondering but I don't think there is, unfortunately.

*sigh*

He was saying that nobody will care about Lieberman's website being down.  He was not talking about his positions on national security.

I despair sometimes.

The polls close at 1am British Time.  There's a five hour difference between the east coast and Britain except when only one of us is on Daylight/Summer Time.

It's safe to assume than that you supported Specter in 2004?

... and Linc Chafee now?  In fact, which way will you vote (if at all) in the primary, Winfield?
