We need to go into ALERT MODE. WE MUST get going if we are to win the election next week. Nick, START UP THE NICK MACHINE. By the way, 9Iron needs to prove himself. i myself may write in Nick/PBrunsel.

The first thing I would ask all of you to do is to abandon the various third parties we conservatives have formed over the last month or so.  Please reregister as republicans.  I am constitutionally prohibited from changing my party affiliation at this stage in the campaign, but I plan on reforming the party with a well developed infrastructure beginning now.  For all practical purposes I am the republican candidate for president.

Stay tuned in the coming days for further announcements.

Actually, scratch that.  The constitutional amendment allows me to reregister today.

Point of information, the amendment you refer to deals with the filing deadline for Senate candidates.   It says nothing about the filing deadline for Presidential candidates, so that is still 20 days.  Not that I particularly care or think it matters if you re-register party now, just making the point.


Edit: never mind, I might be mistaken.
