I mean he has already been prosecuted, but I don't think they'll convict him.  There will be riots because a lot of people don't understand our legal system, and think burning down a 7/11 will change it.
The left currently believe that if the left wing hivemind believes you to be guilty, you are guilty. No other proof is needed. And this type of thinking is supported by "moderates" such as Joe Biden.

I believe Chauvin is guilty because I watched him murder Floyd on video with my own eyes, not because of the "left wing hivemind".

Appears the police are ready to throw him under the bus testifying he had no reason to kneel on him for that long.

Because he didn't!

Oh, for sure, but they usually don't try to throw their own under the bus and normally would try and support him. So slightly surprising.

I think even they realize that if Chauvin gets off, it will cause irreparable damage to police-community relations.

Not nearly as bad as Waters, but why?

Because he didn't speak until after the jury deliberated.

By the way, for information's sake.
Minnesota has a 5% Black CVAP population and the jury was picked from all around Minnesota.
The jury of 12 has 4 black jurors and a few mixed race.
The odds of there being 4 or more black jurors is 0.2% assuming pure random selection from Minnesota citizens of voting age.

It is truly a damning indictment of our society that CNN and other news organizations have put so much effort into publicizing and analyzing the racial makeup of this jury-- the implication being, of course, that people will be sympathetic to people who look like them. If a multiracial democracy is to work, we have got to stop making those kinds of assumptions.

There is endless evidence proving this is true

My guess is 20 years with no possibility for parole.
