Election Rules:
The booth shall stay open until 8 PM tomorrow and will be closed and the results certified within 24 hours by acting Chairman/Vice Chairman Lewis Trondheim.  The winners shall immediately take office when the results are certified that they have receieved a majority.  There will be a run off between the top two options chosen if no option fails to receieve a majority.  If NOTA or Abstain receieves the majority in a race, then the listed candidate shall be removed from the ballot and a new race held.  If again no person is able to attain a majority and it is a VC or Sec. race, then the current Chairman (Earl AW) shall appoint someone upon returning.  If it is the race for Chairman then the current Vice Chairman (jcar5) shall appoint the Chairman upon returning.

8PM forum time is 2AM in the morning here, and I got to get to be up at 6 and out of the house at 6:30, so certification will be considerably late (within 24 hours though, I promise. ) Votes cast after 8PM forum time will however be invalid.

I am not certain how to interpret this clause regarding the secretary race, with no filed candidates. Hopefully there will not be a majority (50%+half a vote) of abstentions in the race when polls close, so I don't have to make up a ruling.

Abstain has received a majority in this race, and therefore the listed candidate shall be removed from the ballot and a new race held. As there is no listed candidate, I do not think that we can remove him. I therefore recommend merely that a new race be held.
