I first got interested in classical music as a kid by watching old cartoons, especially the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons.  I'm sure this was the first exposure to classical music for many of us, at least those of us of a certain age. Wink

If you like classical music, classic cartoons, or especially their intersection (and who doesn't?) check out this excellent thread that contains many examples: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1366449816042102787.html

Erik Satie is the only good classical music composer to ever exist.

All others are trash.

Bugs Bunny introduced me to Liszt, as well as the potential consequences of interrupting a concert pianist:

Bugs Bunny made me fall in love with Richard Wagner. That and the 1980s Excalibur movie with Nigel Terry.

If you like the Hungarian Rhapsody #2, have you ever seen the classic scene from the film Anchors Aweigh?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbeozgkNj8Y

One that was left out: 1941's Rhapsody in Rivets, which IMO is the definitive Hungarian Rhapsody #2 cartoon.  https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1glhp
