Like his cover of "Hurt" is so acclaimed. What if he followed it up by covering "All Star" from Smash Mouth?

What would it be like?

What if "Jocko Homo"? (And yes Devo has already done a "sad" version) or maybe "Whip It"? Or the "Safety Dance"?  Clearly, Johnny died too soon.

There actually are upbeat, poppy Johnny Cash songs, they just tend not to be on the American Recordings albums. So I think it could have worked pretty well.

Mods, can you please temp-ban BRTD for even suggesting something like this? Not long, maybe 48 hours or a week.

Of course there are! Including on the American Recordings albums - one of my favourite Johnny Cash songs is I've Been Everywhere.

The funny thing is, Cash's cover of Hurt is arguably more upbeat than the original.
