Great job opportunity? Marry someone from another country? Feel like your own country is going to hell? You’d just want to do it anyway?

What countries would you most want to and LEAST want to move to?

And if you did move to a different country, do you think you would assimilate over time and adopt that nation as your own, or would you hold fast to your original national identity?

Finding an employer that will send you overseas is the best route.  Have THEM pay you to sightsee the world.

A great job opportunity or a new love. Latter is just in theory since I'm already engaged. However, I would most likely only move to a country with a language I already speak. So either German or English.

All that being said, I'd spend the summer months in Greece if I was really rich, though that wouldn't count as "moving".

If it was annexed by the United States and they needed colonists.

Most American JDs abroad are doing transactional stuff (usually M&A or finance) for a firm or in-house, which is not my area, so the odds of finding a "good job" overseas for me are very slim. That said, a good number of attorneys burn out and end up working for the foreign service.

Having enough money to get Caymanian citizenship and a house or condo on Seven Mile Beach.

So basically, it will never happen.

It'd take every county in the state getting nuked before I'd move out of Nebraska.

I would have to get a lucrative job offer to consider moving. Even then I probably wouldn’t be comfortable living abroad for too long and would come back to the U.S. after a few years.

How would you be able to tell the difference?

The mail would presumably stop arriving on time.

Only if I won Lottery I would move to Australia, but I wouldn't want to lose my citizenship so Hawaii would be better
