Paul might have a race on his hands if Democrats can lure in Beshear (or alternatively, Alison Lundergan Grimes, for instance). He's more vulnerable than McConnell ever has been.

That would be a complete waste of time and he would lose the governorship the following year for it too.

Tell that to Jim Gray who was by the way a much stronger candidate than Lundergan Grimes who is anyway a very damaged good because of the different scandals involding her family.

It's not news that Beshear already took himself out of running for Harris Veep in 2024 and running for Senate in 2022, since he already said on MSNBC, that he is staying put as Gov of KY and wants to run for reelection due to dealing with Covid crisis
