Interesting county there - extremely loyal to the Republican Party, but with a consistent high Democratic floor.

I'm actually going to guess 2020. Very curious to know the real answer.

Atchison, KS

If the place votes R in 2020, you guess the last time it voted D. If it voted D in 2020, you guess the last time it voted R.

Anyways, Atchinson probably last voted D in 1992.

Mount Carroll, IL.

I was guessing that it voted D in 2020, possibly for the first time in a very long time.

Mount Carroll definitely voted D in 2008. 2012, I'm not so sure. Probably it was very close.

I’m going to guess Clinton in 1996.

It's actually almost certainly Obama 2008! I don't have exact results, but the precinct that includes Fayette also includes quite a bit of surrounding rural land, and Obama lost the precinct by 9 votes.

You didn't provide a city for us to guess.

Probably 1972, but 1980 is a distant possibility.
