I'm going with my gut and saying 88 or 84, but 72 wouldn't surprise me either.

As a college town in the south I honestly think there's a possibility it's never gone for a Republican. Alachua County has gone Republican before but even in 72 and 84 Democrats got 43 and 46% respectively and it wouldn't surprise me if a significant chunk of that came from Gainsville.
